Time To Celebrate

Today's card use one of my favourite digi images from A Day For Daisies...

I printed her onto linen card and coloured her using pro-markers in shades inspired by the colour challenge at The Colour Throwdown...

I printed the balloons again and fussy cut them and used foam pads to create some dimension. the sentiment is a very old digi - not sure where I acquired that!

I've also entered today's challenge at Less Is More...

So it's Recipe week and we're looking for
1 or more balloons on your project

Super Girl Birthday

Happy Friday everyone!

There's a new challenge over at Simply Papercraft today - the first one of 2017...

As usual the challenge is 'Anything Goes' which makes it so much easier to join in. Today's sponsor is the fabulous Nikole at Melonheadz - a lovely Etsy store to pick up some seriously cute digital stamps...

This is what I have created using a Melonheadz digi image of a little girl superhero:

I've used some glittery polka dot patterned paper from a mixed pad from The Range and some red washi tape left over from Christmas cards. I've coloured the image using co-ordinating pro-markers and added some punched stars as embellishments. The greeting was created using BEBAS font.

I've entered this card into the challenges at:

The Paper Shelter #278 - make it digital
I ♥ ProMarkers #327 - anything goes
Cute Card Thursday - something fun
CCC Digi Creations - use die-cuts or punches

So get yourselves over to Simply Papercraft and join in the fun - it's only a click away!

Special Mam

I decided to make a start on Mother's Day cards today using this lovely heart-shaped floral wreath which was a freebie many moons ago from The Digistamp Boutique ...

I'm entering this card into the current challenges at:

The Paper Players - flowers
CAS On Sundays - hearts
Cupcake Inspirations - pearls - Sweet Seven!
Crafting When We Can - spots and/or stripes
A Gem Of A Challenge - hearts and/or flowers

Awesome!

I needed to make a birthday card for a young lad who loves Lego - unlike me - I think it's evil, especially when you stand on a piece in bare feet!!

I found an outline image of a Lego man via google that works as a digi image and coloured him using primary coloured pro-markers. I then carefully fussy-cut him. For the background, I created a Lego 'base' using dark green card and lots of circles, using foam pads to create dimension...

As I was making this, all I could think of was that annoying 'Everything Is Awesome' song from the Lego movie - hence the greeting!

I'm entering this creation into the challenges at:

Brown Sugar #234 - anything goes
QKR Stampede #227 - one for the kids
Crafty Creations #333 - anything goes
Ooh - La - La Creations #220 - for a man or a boy
Creative Fingers #123 - anything goes
Outlawz Twisted Thursday - at the movies

Valentine

I don't often make St. Valentine's Day cards but I was inspired by the sketch over at CAS(E) This Sketch

Using a gorgeous heart die that I got with a magazine at a recent craft fair (Die Cutting Essentials - was an old issue so I got it for 4 quid!) and a square border die I created this...

I've added a greeting done in 'BEBAS' font and some red pearls ( I had to use one more than the sketch to balance the layout).

As well as the sketch challenge, I'm entering this card into the 'anything goes' challenges at:

Brown Sugar Challenge #233
Inspiration Destination Challenge #118
Penny's Paper-crafty Challenge #311

Big 4 0

For Christmas I was lucky to be spoilt with lots of crafty presents. My faves by far were two sets of large number dies from Tattered Lace. They are designed to make table numbers for weddings etc but I knew they would look fab on number birthday cards...

I wanted a card that was shiny and girly but not fussy. Using a 7x7 inch scallopped base, I used some cerise card for the numbers with a silver mirri-card 'shadow'. The patterned polka dot card is from Buzzcraft   and the greeting was done in Copperplate Gothic font. For a touch of decoration, I've added some peel-off shiny dots at the top of each number.

I'm entering this card into the challenges at:

Fab 'N' Funky Challenge #333 - birthday with a number
Crafting From The Heart #142 - anything goes
Dream Valley #147 - something new (dies)
Crafting When We Can #135 - anything goes
A Bit More Time To Craft #35 - anything goes

Thanks for looking

An Early Start!

OK - so I started my Christmas cards very late in 2016 - I'd made a few throughout the year but I still ended up making the majority of my cards in November and early December! Not good for the stress levels leading up to Christmas!

So here's the first Christmas card for 2017...

I've used a similar layout to some of my 2016 designs but this exercise is more about getting cards made rather than being innovative about design!

I used the lovely wash tape I found in Lidl, a Diesire bauble die, a Memory Box bow die and some flat backed pearls.

I'm entering this card into the challenges at:

ABC Christmas Challenge - B is for ....bauble
The Crafty Addicts - monochrome
The Merry Christmas Challenge - lots of red
Dies R Us Challenge #64 - anything goes
The Crafter's Cafe - monochrome
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge - clean and simple

Thanks for popping in

Party Girls

I've pulled a much loved golden oldie out of my stamp collection today - Victoria and Juliette's Night Out from Stampin' Bella...

I've used bright striped and polka dot glittery papers from The Range, black card matting and a few decorative squares in matching colours. The image is coloured with pro-markers, the 'celebrate' greeting is a very old digi from a free digi website and the font used on the main greeting is 'Hobo Std' - I think that covers everything!

I'm entering this card into the challenges at:

Penny's Paper-crafty Challenge #310 - anything goes
Water Cooler Wednesday - it's a celebration
Mod Squad Challenge - anything but Christmas
Crafting By Designs - anything goes (January)
Ooh La La Creations #219 - feminine

Here's to another year of crafting and blogging!
