NitWits Snowman

Two boxes ticked off today - I've used some old stash and I've made another Christmas card (albeit a very simple one!).

The NitWits cute snowman topper and papers came a long time ago with the sadly now defunct Creative Cardmaking magazine - I loved that mag - you always got fab papers and images with it.

The faux ribbon also came with the mag - I've simply added a die-cut snowflake and a red gem and a greeting done on the computer (Follow You Into The World font).

I'm entering this into the challenges at:

Craftyhazelnut's Challenge #278 - use a sentiment
Crafting By Designs - get ready for Christmas
Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge - AG / for a lady
Crimbo Crackers - snowmen

The Shoe Fetish Continues

I'm still playing around with those shoe digis from Digistamp Boutique...

You can never have too many girly cards ready for friends birthdays!. I've coloured the digi with pro-markers to match the coloured lines on the patterned paper (The Range - they have some fabulous patterned paper pads in at athe moment).

The flowers were puched to match the flower on the image and I've embellished with some black gems. The greeting was done on the computer.

I'm entering this card into the challenges at:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - make it girlie
The Crafty Addicts #13 - AG/girly
The Corrosive Challenge - girls, ladies, women
Stamping Sensations - one for the girls

The patterned papers are from The Range and I've added a black ribbon and some tiny black pearls. The greeting was done on the computer using KG True Colors font and the numbers are coloured peel-offs (I'm still trying to use really old stash!)

Never Give Up !

Sometimes you just don't know where a challenge is going to take you!

Today's challenge at Less Is More is to create a one layer card using geometric shapes or patterns. Now as I don't stamp I trawled Google to find a suitable digital image that met this criteria. This is what I found:

I spent many an hour as a teenager trying to conquer this annoying contraption! In the end I took it apart and put it together again  complete... and never touched it again! I therefore found this image very apt as it represents me giving up and pulling it apart.

Thanks for looking

Hello Sailor

Happy Friday everyone!

Another fortnight has passed which means it's time for the next challenge at:

As usual the challenge is 'Anything Goes' which makes it so much easier to join in the fun! This week the challenge is being sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs:

I've used a fabulously sassy image kindly donated by the company and as any child of the 80s/90s I was inspired by Baywatch when colouring the image...

I've used a mixture of pro-markers and Spectrum Noir blendable pencils for the colouring. I found an image of an anchor via google and fussy cut it as an embellishment and as as a good Girl Guide in my youth, I knew how to do a reef knot using some white cord!

I'm entering this card into the challenges at:

Sassy Studio Designs - anything goes #328
Penny's Paper-crafty Challenge - anything goes #272
A Bit More Time To Craft - anything goes #17
Craft Your Passion - anything goes #306
Create and Inspire - anything goes #43

Thanks for popping in...

Sponge Bob !!!

Hello All,

Today's card was a special request from a work colleague whose son loves everything to do with Sponge Bob Square Pants - he's allowed to though - he's only 3!

I've made a very simple version of Bob on my card. All the paper is from my 'bits' stash and I've used various circle dies and punches for the shapes. The tongue was created using a heart die - it seems to work!

It was very easy to make - just a lot of sticking. It's not the most original card I've ever made but Connor loved it!

I'm entering this card into the current challenges at:

Through The Craft Room Door - anything goes
Creative Card Crew - use a die
Crafting From The Heart #106 - anything goes
Glitter 'N' Sparkle  #182 - use a punch or die
Our Crafty Corner #8 - anything goes
